Your friend is wrong, your kid will not get teased. Luke is a very pretty boy name, for the girl I don't care for Nicoletta, sorry, but Elisabeth with an S is very pretty! Sakura could be the middle name. Goodluck

I had people to say something bad when I told them the names of both of my children ahead of time. Now that I've named them what I wanted to name them anyway, I get compliments. I've decided that for my next one, people won't know until I've signed the birth certificate what the name will be. The truth is that kids will make fun of each other no matter what you name them, so name your baby something that is significant to you, your husband, and your baby, and let everyone else's opinion go to hell.

Nicoletta is a mouthful. How about just Nicolette? I like that name.

Elisabeth is so pretty and I like it spelled that way.

Sakura sounds like a Japanese restaurant around here. Not pretty for a little girl.

I love the name Luke! It is so nice, strong, and not overused!

The best piece of advice I can give, regarding baby names, is to keep them to yourself, until the baby is born. People will always have opinions, and many think it's o.k. to share them with you, even when it's negative. Don't tell your friend any more names. Once the baby is named, most people keep their mouths shut! Good luck!

I like Elizabeth. It is simple, she won't get razzed in school, she won't have to re-spell/pronounce it.

I don't think Luke is too common since I haven't heard of any babies being named that.
