When I was 14 I met this young man and found him so amazing yet my parents thought he was not good enough for me. He was to dark or to tall or didnt applied in his studies or maybe the sun was not shinny enough...I dont know. Still we allways looked for each other and made the best of it. We became high school sweethearts and we had plans to go to college and even married in the future. But it did not worked out that way. Still the thing is that after so many yrs I came across him and we had a great after noon. I think it was one of the best one ever. We made plans to meet again, he share with me his future and his plans to marry and we were happy. Yet, 6mo later he was dead by a drunk driver.

Am fine, believe me. I just wanted to ask what would you do if you find your high school sweetheart.

Interestingly enough neither me or my high school sweetheart ever married. If I saw her I would try to get caught up on all the years.
The girl I thought I would marry in college never married either.

Unfortunately you can't go back and change things, and even if you had it may not have been the best choice. You did have a wonderful afternoon together and you'll always have memories. You can't live life with regrets because before you know it what your regreting consumes you and you forget to really live, and life is just too short for that. So chalk that one up to it's better to have loved and lost than to never loved at all and keep moving forward with your life.

My sympathy goes to you. You did the best thing to do. If things didn't worked out for you, at least in so many ways you will have lesser regrets. Just be contented that you were not meant to last forever with each other. God may have other plans for you. As a consolation, you kept your parents happy. Remember that Not all we want is good for us. I wish that you will find the right one. Good luck.

Next time, don't drink & drive over your lover!
