Well Christmas is the celebration of Christ. When Jesus Christ was born. Most families celebrate it about the same. My family makes Christmas lists and I spend months preparing everyones gifts. Im really into Christmas. Families all gets together and eat alot. My family makes fudge, decorates cookies and give to friends and neighbors, make pies etc. Then Christmas Eve which is tonight, we each open 1 present. Then "Santa" comes and fills our stockings and brings us our biggest present unwrapped. And it the morning our whole family gets up really early and opens everything together. Then we have a big Christmas feast. I love Christmas!

My thoughts are that there are two main ways that I have seen...

Christian: Celebrating the birth of Christ with traditional Christmas church and a focus on the religion.

Family: Celebrating the goodness of the spirit of Christmas be being with family and having hearty meals and giving gifts. It's about the festive feeling and the goodness that comes with it.

On Christmas eve we might go to Church and have a party by eating food and celebrating with everybody and having fun. On Christmas day we might go to my aunt's house and open all of our presents with our family members.

I celebrate it as a Winter festival...knowing that Jesus was born in the spring durng Passover. I keep all the traditions...lights, gifts, music and stories...like a Chritmas Carol...I only explain my new tradition...only if others wants to know.

Family get together for the evening of 24th, have dinner. Some families do traditions, like mine -- we get to open on the evening of 24th instead. Can still be 25th, too!
