I don't think it's actually that common, but I've heard the acoustics in a bathroom are supposed to be very good for singing.

If I sing in the shower it's because I feel happy !

people sing when they feel good, not all but most dont really sing more like humm. when you shower you feel good therefor u sing/humm.
also it's the same thing when the beat is funky and start tapping your shoe. it's the body's way of " shaking the tail" as a sign if liking.

Smart as answer here : The ONLY time the majority of us think we can sing? And yes, bathroom acoustics are better than say in living room.

because showering makes u feel good..and because there's some kindda echo in the bathroom tht makes ur voice sound even a lil better =)

the water does something to the voice quality and makes it sound a little better than usual.
