Hey everyone!
I bought a PS3 and I am having trouble hooking it up. I attached all necessary cables and turned the system on. The light turns green and the light next to it turns blue when I insert a disc. But on the TV, there is nothing. My TV is a Plasma and it is connected to a network in my house, meaning that one cable/DVR/Dish Network can be seen on any TV in the house. But when I attach the AV cables, I don't see or hear anything on the screen. Do I go to Component 1, Component 2, Video 1, or PC? I have other gaming systems but they go on Video 3. My plasma doesn't have Video 3. Please help! Thanks in advance!

I have read the manual. There is nothing about this. Thanks!

Since you don't have HDMI, i would suggest you hook up your PS3 to either Component 1 or 2. Next turn your tv and switched over to either component 1 or 2 to get the picture.

Ok Try using video one if your hooking it up through a VCR which sounds like you are..unless u are use your TV plug-ins.. if so make sure that the plugs are in the right port...sound port for the sound cable , video for video... you might have to put it on video one. Or you could just go out and buy yourself an RF switch for the PS3 it's an easier way to hook up your system.

Your pscomes with the ingredient cables, they're the uncomplicated 3-cord hook up (pink, white, yellow), the hdmi is a single twine and can provide hi-def image (would not come along with your ps3), bypass purchase it, you will no longer have authentic hi-def till you do, cost stages everywhere from 10-40 $'s.

Uh, the PS3 sucks. It's just a stupid hype. The Blu-Ray drive makes the thing cost an extra $200-300. Who knows if the Blu-Ray format will even survive? The HD-DVD format might beat it. Sony is just being a retard trying to dump media standards onto the world. They already got the MS Pro Duo and the PSP UMD disc what else do they need?

When you power on hold down your power button until the second beep. It should be in the manual...
