I am sad to say that w/enough abuse the heart will just stop having the same ability to feel deeply and care a bit less w/each episode of pain.
For me.....my heart is out of reach and on point all the time.

Yes, that is pretty much the story of my life, but it takes time and trust to get it back and in one piece again. Basically, you have to go though the motions, fight like hell, get up, and let love in again. Easier said then done, personal experiences.
