If you look at the replays, he didn't TIP the ball in, he cupped it in his hand first and then moved it to the basket. The rules say that with 0.2 or 0.1 seconds left only a tip in or dunking it in can count. That wasn't a tip in.

It doesn't look like he cupped the ball, more like the ball hit the palm of his hand and he bounced it up off his palm.

Any challenge to be made would have to be with when the shot clock started and whether he really got the shot in in .01 seconds, but I've seen nothing about the Bobcats filing one with the league.

yes it should have counted, the ball only has to touch one teams player and if it goes in it counts, there is no question, a cup as u call it the player still has some control of the ball and aslong as it was off his hand then no problem!
