The Search engine is different from the history or address line.

To remove your "search history" you can highlight the first one and select "delete" and hold it down till they are all gone. You will have to start with "A" to get them all.

If you have a Yahoo Toolbar just click on the arrow by the pencil next to the big Red Y and select "clear search history."

Hope that helps.

If you're using xp with microsoft internet explorer, I'm assuming you deleted from the tools menu? Did you click 'delete all offline files' ?
You can download a very small program called "ccleaner" or otherwise known as- crap-cleaner from filehippo less than 2 mb and will clean it right up.
Sometimes you need to reboot, allready did that?

I recently found the answer to this question. Go to "tools" then "internet options". Then click "content"..then "auto complete" then click "clear forms". That should do it. Happy Holidays!
