If you're using a WiFi network that uses MAC address filtering for protection, a hacker who knows the MAC address of one of your machines can bypass the protection and join your network by spoofing that MAC address, provided that the machine with this address is not currently on-line.

Nothing, really. MAC addresses are only a matter of concern on the local area network. A remote user can't determine your MAC address and couldn't do anything with it even if they knew it.

depends...in order for a person to know the name, address, etc. of the person who's computer the MAC originated from they would have to have access to your home.

what they could do depends on how your system and/or network is or isn't secured.
