political corectness is a waste of time. Don't bother! If someone can get offended when you wish them happy holidays, they're the ones who need help. There will always be someone who will take offense with something, and the truth of the matter is that most people take offense when no offense was meant in the first place. I heard about the guy who played the chef in South Park quit because he refused to make jokes about Scientology. HELLO!!! What's the point of the show. The whole show is offensive. Nothing is said that's not meant to be offensive. So when do you choose to have an opinion. I don't know. Honestly, some people are just mean unhappy people waiting to pounce on somebody. Go ahead. Let people be offended. God forbid! Say Merry Christmas! If they don't like it then santa can shove some coal where the sun don't shine.

Happy Holidays seems so generic. Not only that, it feels as if I'm hiding the fact I celebrate Christmas in order not to offend someone. I would never be offended if someone wished me a Happy Hanukkah. If that is their holiday and they are happy to be celebrating it, then they should never be ashamed to wish someone else, regardless of faith/beliefs, a happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Merry Christmas.

Why is it that when people attempt to be polite and considerate to others (which is supposedly what Christmas is all about) there is always some miserable sod who will immediately slap the "Politically Correct" label on them in an effort to force them to conform?
Lighten up and enjoy the holidays already.

Honestly, politically correct does not always please everyone. Sometimes it doesn't really prove a point. For instance, it is politically incorrect to talk about "african slaves". The term is "enslaved africans". Also, even in CCD classes, the books now say "B.C.E" (before common era for those who don't know) as opposed to "B.C". It's become a little insane. To hell with appealing to "everyone". Say "Merry Christmas", or if you specifically know that your friends don't celebrate Christmas, wish them a happy whatever they celebrate.
And since in exactly 49 minutes in my time zone, it will officially be Christmas, I wish you a good one.

I personally would not be offended if anybody of any religion told be to have Happy Holiday of their religion.
Personally, this is saying to me, I care enough about you to tell you to have a good holiday, if you celebrate it or not. It is a special way for that person to say 'Have a nice day'.
If a Muslim told me to have a nice ramadan, which I don't celebrate, I would smile and say 'thank you, you too'
Now let's stop worrying about PC, and enjoy all holidays of everyone.

Nah, I don't think that should offend anyone. By saying "happy holidays," you acknowledge that some people celebrate holidays and you want to wish them well.

Some people may point out it's "Happy Christmas", but they rarely will do so. Obviously intention is good so I don't see why anyone would take offense.
