What a great question! It's meant so much to me. My friend said this about her husband, but I think it applies to all great friendships (after all it's good to be friends with one's spouse :) ) "Being with you has halved every sorrow and doubled every joy" A very happy holiday to you and yours!

Friendship is the connection to
another presence which
become part of your inner feelings,
another force, most of the time we
need guidance because within our
self we have memory, imagination
& desires, having these things by
themselves is not sufficient for one
to always have the answers at our
finger tips, when we become one with
another we have a better chance to
map our emotions as to how they
may surface for positive meaning..
a friend is a symbiotic relationship,
to function with control from another
point of view to process our preceptions ..
i would be lost without the friends i
have kept & recently met, friendship
is that extra bit of light to show us
a way or give us a place to rest our
minds in time of sadness or joy ...
True friendship is natures light
to help our way in life .....
