Biologically speaking, testosterone plays a role, definitely. Also, it is suggested that males are expected to be more aggressive, and this comes through in parenting practices and socialization training. Males are often parented to be more rough and tumble while girls are parented to be more nurturing.

The boys who feel more threatened are more aggressive. We smart ones use a different angle, and the smart girls take notice.

guys more aggressive than girls.. ha-ha that's funny i know many of girls that will kick a dudes @$$ in a heart beat... guys just think their more aggressive... but they aren't.. they have a lot to learn about women before they start beating on them or even thinking about it...

Actually a recent study shows that women engage in physically violent behavior four times as much as men...but it isn't as 'damaging' and is rarely reported.
