it reminds me of a black peoples Hanukkah

no. point blank NO. No one I know recognizes it, I dont get time off school for it, it was recently invented, it creates racial tension and youre right about the huanukkah thing. They have that same candle thing.

This holiday is purely political. It is not a holiday like Christmas/Winter Solstice/Hannukah etc., which are all religious.
Yes it is a holiday, but No, it should not be considered a part of the "holiday season" like the other holidays

My opinion No....It is a made up holiday back in the '60 by a guy
in L.A.
I don't know what it signifies but after this question I will look it up.

No way. It wasn't even invented until 1966, because Ron Karenga up and decided that black people needed their own Christmastime holiday. How silly! Black people are regular people, just like all of us!

sure...not a paid day off work holiday...but a holiday, (on a par with arbor day, may day, halloween, etc.)
