Yea, you can to a point.
Here is how, Go to your perspective cell phones web site, like mine is Verizon, so I go to Verizon's site. (your carrier)
On there somewhere will be a link to send text messages to phone. Click on that link, and write in (copy and paste) your text into that box, type in your number, and hit send.
Keep in mind, you can only send like between 140 - 160 characters to most phones, but that is usually sufficient. If not, then paste the rest into other letters.
If there is to much information to do that with, then I would recommend printing the page out....that way you will at least have the information you desire with you.
In MOST cases you CAN NOT send from another carriers site to your phone, so be sure to go to one that your phone is based with. Sprint, sprints sites, Verizon, Verizon's site etc.... I tried to send one to my Verizon site from sprint, and did not receive it, but always do from Verizon's site. Also it carries the normal receiving charge for text if you have to pay for receiving them.
You can also do it via email, by using your number @ your carriers name, but it still imposes the small text character limits.
Good luck!

I can sign onto the verizonwireless website and send text messages. It might depend on your wireless carrier ... and if you have an online account also. There may be other services ... but I am only aware of this one.
