I am ugly, smart and powerless. It sucks.
Besides, dumb people always seem so happy.

I'm not sure what "ugly smart" is though. I think your question should have been punctuated:
Would you rather be stunningly beautiful; stupid and uber-rich; or ugly, smart and powerless?

Its a yin and yang thing. When you are beautiful and poor you can marry a rich man. Beautiful to a woman is a commodity as much as money for a man. Its a match made in heaven (or hell). And then... if you are rich, you can buy beauty - how do you do that? Did you ever see all those cosmetic reality shows on TV? It's possible, it's doable. The best is to be beautiful and rich (not by marriage) And what really s*cs, is to be ugly and poor!!! From my own experience: I was poor and beautiful and then I was rich and beautiful and then I learned that money can't always buy love... and now I'm back to square one!!! Now, I think I don't mind to be beautiful and not so rich - it doesn't matter anymore, as long as I have someone who truly adores me for all that I am, not only for my appearance.

I would rather be beautiful and stupid. Chances are, it's easier to study and make yourself utterly smart than to be smart and try to become prettier.
