the problem is, a lot of them don't see gays as people. Do you think it's any coincidence that the one even slightly liberal thing Dick Cheney supports is Gay marriage? he knows that Gays and Lesbians are people too- with lives and homes and such- because he just happens to know one Really well.

What's this "anti-gay movement" you speak of and why are you such a homophobe? Homosexuals won't hurt you. Why are you so against people who are different than you?

You should learn to be more tolerant of others. It will go a long way towards helping you get along better in this world.

Boy, I know what you mean!!

As a devil worshipper, I have the same problem. I want to hold devil worhip meetings in the local school auditorium, but they discriminate against me. I want to sacrifice animals in the privacy of my own house (humanely, like the butcher shops, of course), and I'm stopped even as non-devil worshiping butchers are allowed those rights. No one lets me adopt a child, and the Boy Scouts refuse to let me work on a Witchcraft merit badge. They won't even let me have a float in the Thanksgiving day parade in my town. And just try to imagine the bigotry I encounter if I try to start a support group at the local high school!

Do you think the Gay-rights groups will back my rights too? After all, ethically, we stand on the same side. As a legal member of this society, I should have the same rights as non-devil worshipers, regardless of the "moral" stance of the rest of the community.

Well people often do whatever they think they can get away with. So it comes down to how much the homosexual community is really willing to put up with and how they intend to make this sort of behavior be percieved as negative to the people committing it. I think this is part of a greater problem that also includes racism and genderism, where people feel justified to debase people based on their social rank in society.

It is equally amazing that the supporters of gay equality think that their movement is harmless and that it does not hurt people.
