i've been in a long distance relationship for almost 2 years now and ive decided to move closer to them for college. this is tearing me apart and its getting closer to the day i have to decide.

1) would you rather go to a good school that you absolutely love and rent a room in someones house nearby, do the long distance thing, (problem the school isnt in the best area in town)

2) or live with happily with your gf/bf and go to a school that would be your second choice and close by?

3) or drive an hour and a half everyday to the school you love and live with your gf/bf at the same time? (problems: gas expenses and time consuming)

That is hard to say because I am not in your situation. I will say that you should look to your heart in this matter. I think in many cases not moving for a boyfriend or girlfriend is the right way to go, because while there may be a level of commitment, it is not necessarily headed toward marriage. That being said, perhaps this is the person you will marry. I guess what I am saying is that I cant advise you on your decision because only you know. Follow your heart. It will lead you in the right direction.

Also, have you considered a couple other options such as asking them to move closer to you, or you moving not quite that far. If the school you go to is the right school for you, you may want to consider staying there. Also consider the amount of time left. If you dont have a terribly long time left, than you have already been in a long distance relationship and it may not be an issue.

Her situations may well be extra versatile than you think of. Spin it that way. stay half-hour away along with her.

#1. Your education is permanent. Your relationship with your gf/bf may not be. I'd give a different answer if you were talking about a spouse.
