Can anyone tell me if Yakuza is a good game?

I want to try it out but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed and I won't be able to return or trade it and it has a high price tag. Is it just for PS2 or is there an XBox 360 version, too? (For those of you that don't know, it's a game about the Japanese Mafia.)

i have it and i wouldn't recommend it to you..
at first, it's cool.. but, you get bored fast and the voice over is horrible.. the gameplay is repetitive...the script sucks really bad..
It seems to me that ALL the characters in the Yakuza game is unable to withheld saying FU** every 3 seconds.
