Now that it's so easy to get photos into card form, why do people seem to think that it is so cute to put their "beautiful" children/pets/etc. on the front of the cards? Does anyone else find this "pat myself on the back" gesture nauseating? It's almost as annoying as the Christmas newsletter!

I agree somewhat. I think it's a way to avoid having to send updated photos of everyone. Just put the photo on a Christmas card and save time.
But I do hate those Christmas newsletters. At least personalize them a little.

LOLOLOLOLOL - I hate that stupid christmas newsletter and even more seeing stupid people on those stupid christmas cards - isn't it enough i have to see their ugly butts through the year in person!

i think it's fun and i would definitely send cards with my kids or pets or family on it. I also enjoy seeing my friends and their families on their cards, especially the ones that i don't see often because i like to see how they've changed.

Some people think it's nice. They like earing from famly and friends. It's a nice gesture.

Well the number one reason would be they are egomaniacal jerks that are saying KISS MY A**! And give me a pat on the back!! I have gotten 2 cards like that this seson!!! They piss me off!!!
