Not all Americans are religious. Matter of fact a lot say they but do not act it. For the rest of us it's "In God We Trust"

Are you sure Americans are any more religious than in other countries? It seems like an ever-increasing amount of agnostic and atheist minds are springing up all the time here.

Americans are not so much super religious as much as they like to have their voice heard - so they are very vocal about their opinions. Our culture is a good mix of both religious and non-religious and we have a lot of every denomination here. So when it comes time to vote for leaders and laws, people hope to turn out support for their ideas in the churches that might support the ideas - in return that church wants the leader to propopse legislation that would help the church. It is just the thing that seperation of church and state hoped to prevent, but we have yet to adopt the original ideals in their entirety, it seems.
Peace!

It is not about being religious...if you have never had a personal relationship with Jesus...then I can not tell you how wonder ful it is...If you have never felt the move of the Holy Spirit...I can not tell you how wonderful it is...If you have never felt the deep love of the Father...I can not tell you how wonderful it is...If you have ever been afraid, ever been deeply hurt, felt unloved, wondered if you had purpose...If you have ever felt like what is my life suppose to mean?, If you have ever just wanted to feel safe, unafraid, loved, a real purpose, to have the ability to love others in an amazing way, to know your life has meaning....Jesus is waiting for you...Open yourself to him, then you can understand, it is not about religion...it is all about Him.

Why would you ask such a question? Is this the only thing on your mind? Just accept it and go on with your life.
Maybe Americans love God.

We have held on to the old order, while Europe has "moved on." We are a different continent and a different society and culture that values absolute truth and the belief in God.
Europe and America have truly diverged.
