The republicans have messed it up so badly there will be no peace and no leaving Iraq with honour for the United States. No matter what either side does there will be American military members being killed up until the day the US pulls out. After the US is gone the civil war that is now under way in Iraq will escalate killing many more thousands off innocent people.
The blood of this war is on American hands. The big question now is, does the United States stay and allow more of it's troops to be killed, ensuring it controls Iraqi oil, or does it pull out now. It doesn't matter which party ends this thing, the outcome is going to be the same, people are going to die and the United States will leave in shame worse than in Vietnam. The world told Bush to wait and see before going to war but he didn't listen, then beyond belief he was re-elected.
Next time you vote remember the damage the Republicans have done and innocent people they have killed.

Work in a bipartisan way, try to restore faith in government, try to improve healthcare & social security, try to work in the best interest of the middle class (instead of the wealthy and big corporations), yadda, yadda, yadda...

Let Bush continue to hang himself until the presidential election.
After the democratic candidate wins there will be a rapid withdrawal of conventional forces.
Trainers and special forces will remain to train and monitor Iraqi military and call in air and ground strikes on terrorist strongholds as they are located.
Carriers will likely stay stationed off the coast to provided air support for Israel when they take out Iranian nuclear sites.

One thing they will definitely do---shut up with all the criticism about the war.....there is an obvious reason for this: now that the dems control Congress they'll find it's much harder to govern well as opposed to volleying invective every time a camera is around...
That's their 'plan'

Let's see what the Republicans do first. After all, they started this war and they own it.

They have no plan. They never will. They would rather have the terrorists come here and attack the US so they can stay in power.
