I personally prefer tournaments without rebuys because people will play more correctly since they cannot rebuy.
Unless you have a big bankroll, it's not worth it to play rebuy tournaments since you are at a disadvantage with players who keep rebuying (and going all-in on draws just to try to build their stack and busting you in the process).

It doesn't matter to me I play both, But most of the time I admit, I play without rebuys. For me It's going to depends on few things, like: How much is the original prize pool?, How many players? Is it live or online?, how was my tournaments lately?, How much was the original buy-in?, how many rebuys are allow in this tournament?. After answering those fews questions...I make my decision.
Hope that help, if you need any poker advices, tips you can contact me.
Take care,

It does change the strategy a little bit when you talk about just a straight buy-in tournament or a re-buy event. With a straight buy in you just play like you always do, but in a mult-re buy tournament you might make some crazy plays because you can re-buy as much as you want. As an example at the w.s.o.p Daniel negranu in the 1000 dollar muti-re-buy event, re-bought over 28 times and did actually finishing in the money. He played loose and crazy until the re-buy period was over because with the option to re-buy you can play loose to try and get some big chip early.
