He used the 9/11 attack as an excuse. On his first day in office he told his intimates that he was going to remove Saddam Hussein from power because he (Saddam) had put out a contract on Daddy during the Gulf War. Then the 9/11 tragedy was tossed in his lap and he had a reason. In that respect, it was most definitely selfish. And it didn't help to have doctored photos and "proof" there were weapons of mass destruction - by the way, how many have they found? - and he had all the "proof" he needed. He lied to the American people and our troops are paying the price of his deceit.

BushCo follows the movie Wall street when Gecko said "Greed is Good." When they are done there will be an oil pipeline across Afghanistan, the poppies are in full bloom and heroin floods the streets of Europe and the US, we police the Iraq oil fields and threaten Dominion over the region having bases or surrogates from Cairo to Baghdad, and now we turn our attention to Iran. Selfish? Business has never been better for weapons manufacturers, oil profits are at an all time high, and the no bid contracts for Halliburton have netted billions. This is just good business.

I Dont understand why americans blam bush for it. Do you know how many military, generals, politicians, advisers, fbi, cia, diplomats, u.n officials, leaders ..... contributed to advising bush to invade iraq. He did not wake up one day and say maybe i should invade iraq. Many people were with him including democrats when they decided to invade, if you want to blame someone blame all those people who wanted it to happen.

Completely. I don't see anyone but Cheney, Haliburton, and Bush's friends benefitting from this quagmire. It was all about ego.

"Selfish" is not exactly the word of choice. I think "Stupid" would be more like it.
