It might be two different problems, the iron in the formula might make his bowels too hard (is that what you meant by 'hard to go party'?)

The white sounds like thrush, it will hurt his mouth and if bad enough give him a diaper rash that hurts very badly. Talk to your doctor about an oral yeast medication, as well, look into gentian violet, it's an alchohol based medication that you cannot use frequently, but will help.

Take him to doctor. THRUSH is patchy white stuff on mouth/lips/cheeks that you can scrape off with your finger. It can cause redness and lots of pain in the throat when swallowing which can cause poor feeding.

It needs to be treated with an oral liquid anti-yeast (nystatin) medication to be given after feeds several times per day (if that is what it is). Again...take to doctor for diagnosis.

Call the Dr. @ the hospital and tell them what you see on your son and the way your son is acting... I think it might be thrush... both my kids had and it will eventually go away... you will get through it...

It could possibly be thrush, check with your doctor. It is a yeast infection, common in infants. It is very painful.
