He did insult the troops. How in the world would that joke have made any sense anyway? Bush had a higher GPA at Yale than Kerry did, and he went to Yale too!

No matter what my political views may be, I strongly feel that Kerry botched the "joke" too badly to be considered intelligent. He took a joke that was barely funny to begin with, and he DID in FACT turn it into an insult, by sheer clumsiness. He is such an embarrassment to the democratic party that he should sit back down and not say another word.

Not really. He said something incredibly stupid, and he's paying for it. The picking in its particulars is inaccurate, but no more so than what Kerry was trying to say. He deserves every bit of it, but I doubt he'll learn civility or thoughtful discussion from it. It just isn't his style, and I expect the pot will continue to call the kettle black. Bush may not be the brightest candle on the cake, but neither is Kerry, who has the hubris of Meidias to counter our fumblemouthed president's Demosthenes.

What Kerry said was true. People in the military are usually at the bottom of their classes. The simple fact is they have no other option but join the military. Kerry should know this because he was in the military.

Kerry insulted the troops almost four decades ago, and he hasn't missed a beat since then.
He is a traitor a liar and a coward.
And he is UNFIT FOR COMMAND.

You do realize that you're now insulting the troops, don't you?
How?
Because you exclude the troops from the world by virtue of their opinions---the troops still hold that Kerry DID insult them.

You OBVIOUSLY don't have a family member or personally know anyone in Iraq. If you did you would know thet sacrifice that they are making in order for America's borders to stay free and protected so that others may have the chance of coming here to lead a life of freedom. You would also know that a vast majority of those that are in the military are there of their own "free will". No one forced them to sign up for it. We do not have a draft. They run the risk of either spending all their enlisted time in peace or fighting a war for those who cannot fend for themselves.
They are not the "bully". They are the ones who stand up to the bullies of the world!
Because of the great sacrifices that they are making for others, Kerry had NO right to say what he did about them. If he was a real soldier and a real patriot he would know that you do NOT insult our military. After all he hasn't picked up a gun to defend our country. And Vietnamn does not count. He lied about what he did there. He wasn't even a real soldier!!
Are you willing to do it? I don't think so...
My many thanks to all of our troops who are willing to do so!!!

Skerry did insult the troops. It was no joke, and all the back-pedaling in the world isn't going to change one word.
Skerry is an insult to all Americans, and yet seems to help the Republicans every time he opens his lying mouth.
Thanks John-boy!
