I have a associates degree in computer electronics, that's a dime a dozen here lately. Although I fought to get to 15.80 an hour fixing copiers/faxes/printers/network, I found a new job contracting through Intel with a more than 5 dollar increase. Of course this means some sacrifice but some good too. I work 3 days 4 days off, then 4 days on 3 days off 12hr days/nights. I am happy with the change, and sometimes you have to take risks to see what you like. Don't be complacent in your work, as most companies although they don't say it see you as expendable to some degree. Good luck to you and your situation though.
