There is no Death Note anime, it is only a manga, however, a movie (with real people) has been created and released in Japan I believe. Here's a trailer for the movie:

Eventually. Death Note is too hot a property not to be liscensed. But at this time no American company has picked it up yet.

And to the person who said there isn't a Death Note anime, there is. It's up to the 11th episode now.

Japan each tuesday evening. in case you meant on american television it dosent play on US television and there have been no bulletins yet that it should be. that's been picked up with the help of VIZ to distribute interior the united state with the help of criminal downloads and DVDs yet they didnt' factor out that it should be shown ln television.

Most likely only two networks will pick up the show, either cartoon network's adult swim or G4, there's a chance the Encore network might but it's not a usual contender, i'd put my guess on Adult swim. but not anytime soon, i suggest you stick to jap versions eng subs.
