that once its over once friends and comrades will be enemies and the alignment of good and bad will be skewed.
and heroes who choice to live a regular life will have to move to canada or non-registration countries.
and the world that Bishop of the x-men and Cable fought in and the days of future past will come to true.

AS near as I can tell, the Marvel civil War storyline is somewhat of an alegory for things happening right now...the battles between factions that will ultimately come to the same result if we aren't careful...

That the powers-that-be at MARVEL are willing to try anything, and fail, at trying to compete with wild and fantastic storylines that DC Comics has come up with.
