I think that she started to fall in love when she read the letter where he explains about Wickham and his sister. I think that in that letter she began to realize his devotion to his sister and she saw that he was capable of loving someone other than himself. I think that it deepened when she and her Aunt and Uncle went to his estate and saw how devoted his staff was to him.

Mr. Darcy fell in love with Elizabeth first. I think it was when Mrs. Bennett sent Jane to walk to Mr. Bingley's estate and she became ill and Elizabeth went to care for her. She was different then the other women of the time . Also at that point Ms. Bingley and Mrs. Hurst (Mr. Bingley's older sister) could see by the way he was looking at her, that he was in love.
Elizabeth didn't start to think about him until she was with her uncle and they were visiting on his estate, butI agree with a previous responder that she admitted her feeling when she learned of how Mr. Darcy saved her family from disgrace.

I think it was a gradule thing. At first she thought he was an arrognant man. The events after Mr. Darcy gave her the letter after her refusal of marriage, helped change her views on him and see a loving big brother, generous to everyone and kind to all. This is my favorite book. I have re-read it three times.

I think that it was when she read the letter that he left her, and I think Darcy liked her when he first saw her but did not know what to think (Because he was watching her dance and then at the next dance he asked her to dance) But he began to love her when he went to mr. collins house and he came just to see her.

Personally, I think it was at the second dance. It is there that she was "forced" to dance with him. The more she protested the more she wanted to. It was also there that Darcy first declared his love for her via her "handsome eyes"

I think it happened when she heard him telling about his high standards for a woman. No woman with such a high opinion of herself can help but fall with such a man. Period.

I think that it was love at first sight, even though both of them were to proud to admit it.
