I have my daughter, but am alone romantically. Kinda sucks, but kinda refreshing; nobody else there to hog up all the spiked egg nog, so I'm good.

Yup, sad isn't it. Recovering from facial surgery too. So I can't even get loaded until it passes.
(dental work, and metal plates in the cheek bones. Removed. 4 plates and 22 screws from cheeks, all upper teeth removed and a denture fitted, 4 teeth removed from lower jaw.
The result of an accident a year and a half ago that they had to wait until the bones had healed enough to do more work on me.
I hope things are a bit better for you tonight.

ps. I am normally alone at holidays, a bit of a hermit I am.

Yep, hubby has been gone all year to the desert, family is too far away, so it is just me and my son and he is very young and doesn't really grasp what Christmas is yet. I'll say a prayer for all of you that are alone as well, I'm sorry that you are alone.

I am truly alone. parents dead, 2 aloof brothers who are scumbags. other friends all married now or with their consorts.
Me and the walls have staring contests. there is no joy here this christmas.
