DISCLAIMER: I OWN BOTH I AM NO FANBOY THIS IS JUST MY OPINION

This will no way talk about money, cause thats another issue;
However

I'd go for the xbox 360,

Technical wise they are both basicly the same (for games) however developers are having trouble keeping a steady framerate for ps3 games, however this is likely to change when they get used to the technology. But take fight night three , developers had a full year extra to work on it and it still looks better on the xbox 360, this has been accepted by all the respected games sites out there (gamespot and ign included).

As for online xbox live is the better choice however ps3 network is free, the £3 a month is worth the quality you get over live. It's a trade off see :)

Ps3 has blue ray off the bat so no need for an extra little box with, HD-DVD drive that goes with the 360.

This gen is all about the games,
Throughout next year I see my 360 getting more play than my PS3.

Most of the exclusives for the playstation brand have now gone multiplatform (ie the 360 has it to) for example; Pro Evo, Smackdown vs Raw, Resident Evil and Virtual Fighter

Games that are coming out next year that you cannot play on the ps3 and I look foward to are; (not forgetting there are already games out like Gears of War,)

Forza 2
Crackdown (maker of GTA)
Bioshock
Alan Wake (wow is all i need to say)
Fable 2
Mass Effect (again WOW)
Blue Dragon (creator of final fantasy and art by DBZ guy)
Too Human
Huxley (MMOFPS)
Lost Planet
Project Gotham Racing 4
Shadowrun (First ever PC vs Console)

oh yeah and a little game called Halo 3 :p

Check out all the videos on a gametrailers.com

So thats my reasons why, again as a gamer I play games not consoles, so I am no fanboy, (this is to anyone who tries to rip on my answer)

As for you good luck mate and happy gaming

a sturdy gaming laptop could have greater effective pictures, and you will have the skill to browse the internet and use it as a classic laptop too. yet once you're basically going to apply it for gaming then don't get a working laptop or laptop.they're way too high priced. yet once you do desire a working laptop or laptop for college or some thing then this is a sturdy determination. My buddy have been given a sturdy gaming laptop for €850. For that fee you may get a ps3/xbox and a sturdy flat reveal to play on. As for xbox vs ps3, ps3 is so lots greater effective, for my area. a million) greater exclusives. video games like Killzone, Uncharted, Little enormous Planet, Ratchet and Clank are somewhat sturdy. I even have been playing Killzone 3 online for a whilst now and im thoroughly hooked! 2)greater effective pictures- for my area 3)Blu-ray. watching blu-ray DVDs on a HD television is astounding! 4)much less probably to be defective. despite the fact that the recent Xbox's are meant to be greater sturdy than the previous ones. 5)you could run linux on it. 6)Psn is unfastened. i don't understand why anybody says Xbox stay is greater effective, i can play online with my pals on psn and chat with them aswell prepared on unfastened. i do no longer see why i could could pay €50 in line with 12 months for it. you will could pay greater for a ps3 than an Xbox yet you will never be dissatisfied. My pals and that i've got the two consoles and yet we are constantly playing Ps3.
