It is a mix of ego and love. I have been there.

My wife decided after 10 years and with two small children that I was not doing enough to support (make money for) her. Now I see my children a few hours a week and deal with not being able to stop missing all three of them while putting my life back together. I never cheated on, abused or ignored her, but still ended up with this. Tears help sometimes.

Well, did you give your husband a reason to cry? If not, then why is he crying? Could it be that you're too harsh on him during one of those imperfections in your relationship? You sound to me that you're the cause for these ups and downs because you don't feel the same way about conflicts in your relationship as he does. Could it be that you're too insensitive to see this? Stop looking at the fact that he's crying and pay more attention to why he's crying, Miss Thang!

Yeah it's part ego and pent up fear. If they have to lose their wife they suddenly feel bad about how things are going to look to others. Too bad they don't often think about that BEFORE they mess up.

They are not only going to lose the wife, but their house, car, bank account, golf clubs, motorcycle---the list goes on.

Maybe because when they have screwed up they realize how much they have hurt you. They may really love you and are heartbroken to think of life without you.

perhaps because they are in love?
i don't know, i don't cry, but that would be my guess, they are in love and love makes you do crazy and dumb things, like making men cry and mushy lovey dovey stuff and such
so he loves you, now quit making the man cry and do something about his crysing like ease his crying or whatever
