I was 8 years old in 1965 too. It's funny how the years slip away...
A couple weeks ago, I ate at pizza hut & they gave me the senior citizen discount. I wanted to complain, but 15% is 15%....

My dad was born in 1965. Does that tell you anything about how old I was in 1965? Hope so ;)

verify the gas shutoff valve.the seals tend to fail after 30 or 40 years. if the valve isn't uncomplicated to get to, use a bite of backyard hose to smell around it. in case you scent gas, replace the valve. a 40-one 12 months previous heating gadget is going to be very inefficient, the ductwork very grimy, and, probably very risky. if the ductwork sounds like foil coated cardboard it somewhat is probably incorporates asbestos. an previous furnace like that's probably in basic terms approximately 50 or 60 % powerful, meaning 40 or 50 cents of each heating dollar is going up the flue. new furnaces are ninety 4 to ninety 8. do the mathematics. your realtor is a jerk. good luck!
