There is not one, the reason I say this, after testing literally 7 different products (Norton, McAfee, Bitdefender, FProt, AntiVir, Pccillin, Windows Live), I found that they were all equally worthless against most aggressive infections out there.

I can say with 100 percent certainty, the reason why they do not work is not specifically due to failures that they cause on their own, but because of the fact that Microsoft has a very bad time with quality control on their Windows product. And because of the myriad security issues introduced with each new version, and complete lack of openness with a community that would be more than willing to help develop fixes for their product, they won't listen.

Overall the best virus defense, is placing oneself behind a router, and avoiding most of the unknown sites on the net, and focusing on using web mail based email products like yahoo or using Microsoft exchange's outlook web access interface.

There is no easy fix. Just convenient ways to make money saying that you are fixing things.

i stumbled on Symantec Norton AntiVirus actual (contemporary one is Norton 360) the terrific one. yet an antivirus utility can in straightforward terms guard in case you do no longer open undesirable or **** sites that stay VIRUSES as those sites make funds from those virus companies. important to point that oftentimes replace your Antivirus utility. an important malicious program of Norton Antivirus is that if Norton Antivirus is already virus contaminated or gets contaminated in a while it slows down the workstation dangerously, otherwise it works the terrific.

Norton Antivirus is definately the best. It's fairly intrusive though. But with it, it is impossible to get a virus that it knows about. I've tested it.

I have tried them all. Best by far is AntiVir Classic (www.free-av.com). No viruses, spyware, adware or anything, anymore. Free, and doesnt slow down the computer.
