I'm basically looking for a very simple, natural, subtle makeup application like the Bare Minerals product. I love the Bare Minerals product because it is extremely simple to use. (you just brush on the powder and you're done)

The problem I've had with most major brands is the pink hue which gives an unnatural look to Indian skin (which I think is more yellow based). I'm leaning towards mineral powders because of their ease of application, UV protection and dermatological properties.

The other brand that I'm familiar with for mineral powder makeup is Jane Iredale. However, I run into the same problem here (pink hues). I know of one brand for Asian/South Asian skin (Vasanti Cosmetics) but they don't have mineral based makeup. Again, I'm looking for the same ease of application as the Bare Minerals product.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Don't stop at those 2 there are tons of great small mineral companies out there that will custom blend for you if they don;t have your color but most do have your color, start off with just looking at these places.
www.monave.com
www.barefacedminerals.com
www.pureluxecosmetics.com
www.everydayminerals.com
www.alimacosmetics.com
Other ones that off hand I do not have a link for are, Lumineiere, Canary, Mineral Boutique, Evans Garden, plus 500 more.

Try Monave first I believe she is ethnic herself so she can whip you out a custom blend if you dont see one ready at her site.

Women suffering from sensitive skin conditions, will find their mineral makeup fits the needs they have. GloMinerals, can accommodate any skin tone, as well. Bare minerals is also good. You can find out much more about these mineral makeups by visiting the resource site i've listed below. Good luck, Alison

Bare Minerals medium tan or tan i would think would work for you. Also the multi tasking minerals concealer in Summer Bisque. I have a client that is from Pakistan, (not the same i know) and i tried the laura mercier oil free tinted moisturizer on her in Almond (or maybe tan for you) and she loves it but uses the bare minerals mineral veil once a day just to help control shine. it is very easy and quick to use and has moistizers and spf in it as well. you would like it i think. if there is a sephora store near you, you can check on their site and see by zip code, you can try it on and find out the correct colors of both product lines. Good luck.

I have the same problem...however, I'm yellow in the summer and pink in the winter...I'm a chameleon =). You can still use Bare Minerals just change the shade that you're using. When I'm in my yellow stage, I use Medium Beige. However, I can also suggest Shisedo. hope this helps!

My understanding is that Bare Minerals works for all skin types. Is there some reason you can't use it or are you having trouble obtaining it?
