Yes, don't try out false eyelashes on a party night because you may have problems with either keeping them on or a reaction to the glue, both of which would ruin a fun evening.

Instead use mascara. Use the clear kind that Maybeline has, let it dry, then apply their regular mascara, doing about three applications (one eye, the other, first eye, second eye, first eye, second eye) using slow strokes. Bet you will like the results.

Many people say to use powder on the lashes before you put on the mascara to lengthen and thickenthe lashes, but I found with contacts I ended up having teary eyes.

I saw some really pretty eyelashes at CVS but, that was also during Halloween. But, they may have those eyelashes year-round... Anyways, They were long (of course) and they had glitter on them... I think those would be good for New Years, since it is a celebration... But to apply them I think you just put a thin layer of glue (that's safe for your eyes) on the fake eyelash strip and then put them right over your own eyelashes..... After answering your question it makes me want to go get them for New Years as well... have fun!!

I like eyelashes that don't come in a long strand but ones that you can apply individually. They look more natural because you can intersperse them but may take more time to apply.
