When I watch romance movies I get totally lost and start thinking about the man that I love. I imagine the 2 main characters as me and him.

I'll never forget the first movie that took me away from reality and scared the beegeebies out of me at the
same time. It was "The Exorcist". I didn't "lose myself" intentionally, though...lol. Two others that come to mind are "Close Encounters..." and "Dances With Wolves", and the TV Mini Seres "North And South", all of which, put me right there. I love movies that do that.

A better question for me is when do I not? Perhaps that's why I don't watch so much TV anymore...I don't think I do it to escape reality, because I surely don't do it on purpose....I just have a tendency to do that. Yeah.

Haven't lost myself in a movie in awhile but I have! Give me a good romantic movie or a fantasy and I'll just dive right in! I do agree with those who said books are easier to get lost into! Books paint a picture they capture feeling better!
Thanks for the question you sure know how to make use think!

Yes. I'm very emotional in movies and TV shows. I get attached to one charachter and identify myself with him/her. Yup, I escape reality when I'm watching movies. I'm in a different world.

i do get lost in movies all the time. not so much for an escape as for a more intensive experience with the film . I love cinematography. with TV I usually listen more than watch....it's on fro back ground noise...

I have never done that with a movie or TV show, but I do it all the time with a good book.

Yes and mostly i like to watch funny things or just TV shows like Seinfeld and Friends...Laughing makes me feel better and gives me a chance to clear my head and relax so I'm able to make better decisions cause i won't be making them out of frustration, despair and anger

Yeah, I saw LOTR: "Fellowship of the Ring" like nine times in the theater and countless times on DVD along with the rest of the trilogy. I admit, I am a LOTR geek.

Yes. When I was really depressed during the summer I watched funny movies to cheer myself up.
