She was going out with him, but they broke up. He checked himself into rehab and she wrote Call Me When You're Sober and Lithium about him. She's currently going out with a therapist named Josh. He's mentioned in The Open Door thank yous.

When they were together she featured in Seether's song Broken. Shaun also appeared on the Anywhere But Home DVD many times.
