How do you become a life coach?

Is there a certification process? Are there training/apprenticeship programs?

There seem to be a number of certifications available for life coaches as well as any number of training programs. There may not be any legal requirements for certification/licensing but you should seek to maintain some sort of credentials in order to get and retain clients.

My life coach doesn't hold any "certifications" but he does have degrees in counseling psychology, management and human resources, and educational leadership.

First you need to register yourself for the training. Once you're certified, you an apply for jobs that involve life coaching.
