My favourites (Warning: Old person perspective):
1. A day on Stradbroke Island ... catch a train to Cleveland and the bus/ferry to the Island. Walk the beaches. Sigh.
2. Ride the City Cat (already mentioned by others). Good value .. night and day.
3. See a performance at the Powerhouse. A great place to go for a night out. Enjoy a red at the winebar overlooking the river at night ... or go there for breakfast/coffee during the day.
4. Museum of Brisbane ... in City Hall. I don't like museums much but this one is different.
5. Bike ride/Walk ... along the river ... from Southbank ... including walk over the Story Bridge (but perhaps not at night).
6. Breakfast at Fat Boys ... Brunswick Street Mall in the Valley ... and then walk along Brunswick Street towards New Farm, visiting the shops and glalleries. Don't miss Craft Queensland gallery.
7. BBQ at Kangaroo Point .. on the cliffs or down by the river. Buy yourself some sausages, bread, salad and then turn up at one of the free bar-b-ques along the river. Watch the sunset and eat.
8. The Jazz Club ... Kangaroo Point ... just down the street from the famous hotel. Sit out on the deck listening to jazz and enjoying a drink.
9. Queensland Art Gallery. I love it. There are so many more amazing ones all around the world ... but there's usually something interesting on at the QAG and, at the very least, you can sit and enjoy coffee with ambience.
10. IF THE APT (ASIA PACIFIC TRIENNIAL) IS ON. DON'T MISS IT!!!

Or you could go to comedy corner. The house of Flegg?Go to council chambers and get a map of local attractions there are many to choose from. Surfers Paradise is an hour away on the Gold Coast.

I would suggest to go and visit the museum, have stroll and somethin at the Southbank take a River Cat from there for just few dollars and if you o back before 4pm you will only pay once. after that have a coffee or glass of wine by the river. on Friday go to Marriot for ALL YOU CAN EAT SEAFOOD. also plan in going to Australia Zoo, it is not too far from Bris if you are in Brisbane on a Sunday the River Markets are fun, you will meet local artists.
HAVE FUN

Do a tour of the City. Definitely go over to Southbank Parklands. Do a round-the-bridges walk and also take the ferry. Its nice to just take the ferry right out as well, very cheap way to get a river cruise. Conrad Treasury Casino is nice for dinner and they used to have some good music too.

Do a winery tour! Go out ipswich and see the Train Museum. Catch a train to Australia Zoo or a train down to the Gold Coast. For a history trip, go out to St Helena island - they used to do Ghost Tours! Excellent fun!

I loved Southbank and the Australia Zoo. Also, hanging out at a pub around the markets is nice...good chance to just people watch.
