With Duckie. He would have appreciated her more and truly loved her. He would have treated her the way she needed to be treated. In the long run, going with the guy that treats you like you deserve to be treated, rather than the rich guy who will turn out to be way less than you expected him to be.

I think she was right to stick with Blaine the rich kid. IMHO Ducky was probably gay and just not "out" yet and made a great friend for her. Gay guys make great friends for girls.
