When they give you the time of day, total communication which means no punches, no head games or deceit, or going behind your back. Some say, you just know- that's not entirely true. I had the misfortune of trusting someone in confidence and they betrayed me, broke my heart- so after all that being said, be on your guard in trying to form friendships, especially over the internet- You never know what will happen, not as a scare tactic but as awareness.

In time of need this person will truly be there. Actions not just words. Time will tell.
Without a doubt your true friend is your mother (unless you have an unfit one).

It is easy to be friends with someone during the good & fun times, but when times get bad that is when you know if you have a true friend or not. A true friend will always be there a fake friend will leave when you need them most.

Many things. They accept you for who you are, there for you when you need them and don't lie or talk about you when your back is turned.

you can tell by what they do when your in trouble. if it means them risking there butt for you and if they take off then they wherent really a friend now where they?
