If I knew the answere to that one I would be rich

I can guarantee you that I am NOT like this. I learned from my dad to always be on time; my mom was always at least an hour late, so everyone learned to tell her that something was at an hour before it actually was so she would be on time (but then one year she surprised everyone and showed up at the time we told her--and nothing was ready!). I don't wear make-up, don't worry too much about the clothes I wear (I wear what's comfortable and appropriate for that time of year), so it doesn't take me more than a couple of minutes to get ready (brush out my hair, grab my coat and purse, and I am out the door). My fiance, tho, is another story. When he says that he will be gone for a certain amount of time, he is gone way longer as he won't stop talking; when he says he is going to be on the computer for a certain amount of time, he is on it way longer; etc. He has a cell phone to tell him what time it is, but if he doesn't take it with him, then he doesn't know as he doesn't wear a watch (it would interfere too much on his job since he works on machinery at a farm). So, I have learned to just accept and deal with it.

So, I suggest that first, you don't generalize every woman in your observations of the women you know, and second you accept the woman's little quirks you are with, and remember when you want to go somewhere that you need to tell the woman you are with that you need to leave like an hour before you actually do so she will be ready on time. She may surprise you sometime and actually be on time, then you will be early!

You might ask yourself why this is important to you. Let me suggest that you recognize that you can't control anybody else...all you can control is how you react. So learn to accept yourself, and others, and what the universe presents to you...including late women. My wife is from South America and doesn't know what a watch is. At first I would get all excited but very soon recognized it did me no good. She would move at her own pace and I had the choice of learning to accept her sense of timing or moving on. We're still married, I still think she's as wonderful as the day we were married, and I just stopped worrying about timing where she was involved. Try it, it works.

This is probably a result of having football games say they will be over in 4 minutes and they run a 1/2 hour into 60Minutes. Or it could be that girls have always been told that something the size of an index finger is 9 inches. I guess it must be the girl's fault :-)

Not all women are like this. Me for example!!!! I can't stand to be made to wait therefore I do my best not to make anyone wait for me.
I do feel for you though because the few girl friends I have are like this and it gets on my last nerve. Try to understand that for alot of chicks they really try to be ready in five minutes but then they find a zit, grey hair, or something shallow to worry about and it takes the five minutes just to figure out what to do.

It is about control. No matter male or female{they are worse}, people who are cronically late want to be the center of the universe. Making others wait gives them a feeling of control. These types are pathetically insecure & selfish. They won't change untill someone leaves without them. We did that to a friend who always made us late for concerts, etc. He was never late again!

To be fair, please do not generalise women as a whole. Some are very punctual.

Likewise some men are just as bad if not worse. For those late turn-ups, teach them a lesson. Give them a taste of their own medicine and see what happens. They just need to be educated to be punctual in future.

we can tell time, its just sometimes we loose track of time and forget all about what we were suppose to be doing. especially, if you have kids its real easy to forget things when their around. and yes that is called telling a lie. but if you really love her you would want to hear her out and understand her too. just don't explode on her and tell her its over.

Why is it that men generalize and put all women into one catagory?

We are not all the same.

I know just as many men as women who are late and inconsiderate when it comes to wasting time.

What a cliche!!! Sometimes the woman is late because her fat *** husband does absolutely nothing to help such as dress a couple kids or put on coats.
