i don't have hair on the nipple itself, i have a few strands on the area around it. i just leave them alone. if my boyfriend has a problem with it, he can shove it.
you can shave them, but unless your gorilla girl, i wouldn't bother. if anyone who sees you without your bra on has a problem with it, then they don't deserve to see you without your bra on. that's my opinion anyway.
you could also pluck them with tweezers. if there is a lot of it, then i'd wax.

yea, a few girls i've dated must have shaved it because i could see the stub's from where hair should be. I don't think waxing it would be a good idea, but I will say that you should make sure you keep up with shaving it. I shave my chest and the hairs there grow just as fast as anywhere else. There is nothing that will happen when you shave them off, except they will be a little prickly if you don't keep up with shaving it. Also make sure that you don't cut your nipple, shave in the direction AWAY from your nipple to avoid it. I learned this the hard way
good luck

Hairy nipples
Coarse, dark hairs around the nipple are quite common. You can pull them out with tweezers, but this can cause irritation because the skin round the nipple is very sensitive. It is probably better simply to cut them off close to the skin. This is easier if you hold the end of the hair with tweezers to keep it taut. The hairs will grow again, so you will have to cut them off again from time to time.
Hairs round the nipple are nothing to worry about unless you have excess hairiness on other parts of the body and your periods are irregular. If this is the case, you may have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and you should see your doctor. You will find more information about PCOS in the section on hairiness in women.

Plucking is best. Don't shave, you could shave some of the bumps on your areola off and get an infection. Hair removers might be a little bit harsh, waxing too could cause irritated areola, so join the club and pluck.

Better to pluck them with tweezer. That way the hair will be gone for about a month. Putting a razer near your nipple is a little dangerous.

Let them grow. It's very common. If you've hair there you've probably also got -- or will get body hair elsewhere and facial hair caused by high testosterone levels and/or low estrogen or shbg levels. If you feel must remove the hair, trim it as close as possible and then use a men's-type electric razor. Norelco (Philshave outside the US) men's razors are about the most gentle, imho.

Please don't shave, the stubble is bad. I have a lot of hormone imbalances and pluck the hairs off of my breasts and chin, wax my lip and eyebrows and bleach a little on the sides of my face. Never shave anything but your legs and under your arms, otherwise it is very noticeable.

Plucking is better, shaving is a blunt cut and may stimulate more hair growth or injure your skin.

I say braid the hairs! You might as well make the hair look nice.

shaving or waxing are temporary solutions.
Consider laser hair removal for more permanent removal
