I have a 2000 accord coupe and that damn light comes on all the time. It just comes on after a certain number of miles. Each time I just reset the light. I think you put the key in and turn it to II and then hold down one of the buttons on the instrument panel. Take a look at your manual.

The maintenance required light means its time to change your oil. It will come on every 5k miles. There is a switch under the dash that you hold in while starting the car and it will reset,
in mine it is below and to the right o the steering column

The maintenance required light comes on when routine maintenance is due. At different mileages, different things need to be done. You have the manual, read all about it and it will tell you how to reset the light when the maintenance is accomplished.

This is just a service reminder light and there's no need to panic. It only means that it's time for you to service the car or your mechanic forgot to reset it the last time you had the car serviced.

Possibly reconnecting the battery may solve your problem. Turn off the engine. First loosen the clamp, clean the contact points of the clamp and the battery, then tighten the clamp. Ignite the engine. The warning sign shouldn't be there anymore. If it is, then it is because of something else.

Call the dealership or look in your owners manual. I think that is the message you get when HONDA thinks you should have your engine serviced. It has to be reset after maintenance.

That would be the "Pay your dealer $300" light. You've probably just hit the 60,000 or 75,000 mile interval. Take it to Wal-Mart the next time you need to change your oil and tell them to reset it.
...oh, and change your air filter and PCV.
