I was alone last year (separated from my family and child) and it was very lonely goinghome after work christmas eve to a empty house. I spent the time online but still couldnl't help feeling down. This year is a little better as I saw my family for a while and they are coming for dinner tomorrow but I am still spending most of the time alone. I think it is harder on Christmas day because everything is closed and no one is out and it makes one feel even more isolated. Merry Christmas to you

Whatever you want! I am home alone for the first time on Christmas Eve....my ex has the kids and my boyfriend is working so for me it is sad.....I have family coming over tomorrow so I have been trying to stay busy getting ready for that so I don't have as much to do in the morning after opening presents.....If this is a good thing for you then enjoy it! You don't HAVE to feel sad if that's how you choose to spend your Christmas Eve! Have a good evening and a great Christmas:-)

Answer Yahoo Questions, I guess. There are so many thing that you can do if you are by yourself, like me I start cleaning my house and cook at the same time, so if someone will surprise and visit me I'm ready and there is foods on the table. At the same time I can spend some times relaxing, I've been wanting to
get a vacation and now I have the excuse. That's what you should do also.

Remember that every situation has blessing in it. You are blessed to be by yourself...You simply have to remind yourself of all the fortune that you have. Yes, fortune. Now is the time to forget every bad thing and write down all the good things that you can. Relax in water and contemplate every good thing that can possibly happen to you. That is your Christmas gift-- to appreciate what your mind can do.
Have a Great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The sadness comes when a person buys into the holiday expectations. If you have no such expectations you will not feel sad.
What I don't like is that my usual surroundings have come to a halt because of Christmas celebrations. And I am not ready to go to a movie by myself.

whatever makes you happy, and being alone is not always a bad thing, its only when you have no choice in the matter, no friends, no family, no one who cares that you are alone..that would be sad.

Be glad you're by yourself and not living with someone who's sole purpose in life is to make you miserable and nervous.
