When I was a child I was very aware of the sexual activities of my friends of the same age. Many of them began experimenting as early as 6 yrs, I was too shy. The "lord of the flies" book shows boys fighting all the time, but I know from the experiences of my childhood that if boys were on an island unsupervised there would a lot of sexual play. This is the subject that I would like to expose in my film script. It is one of the last taboos to talk about. Friends that played around with each other went on to be married and have families, they have never talked about it since, except for one gay friend that is proud of the fact that he and his older straight brother had sex from the ages of six to 16. I have heard that even if the actors are 18 they cannot protray younger boys in the nude, is that true? My film is set in thailand where in some tourist cities, anything goes. for those who call me a perv, do you believe that if I write about murder I am also a murderer?

LOL you realize you are going to be heavily criticized for even suggesting this? I think you should check out the legal situation with a lawyer before commencing with your project. I know that when American Beauty was made one of the actresses was under 18 and could only be filmed nude when one of her parents were present so it can be done, if in a controlled way. Check it out with a lawyer and prepare for the neocon back lash when the movie comes out. I can't imagine any difficulty using an 18 year old posing as an under 18 being a prooblem - if it were the porn industry would be in very serious trouble.

As long as your actors are over 18, they can portray younger boys--- this is how a lot of the "barely legal" type porn sites get away with showing a 14-year-old girl in porno acts. She's really 19 and just made up to look 14.

Make sure your script is done in very good taste, and use actual nudity only when it truly adds to the plot or script. As you can see just from your question, a lot of people are going to attack you and your script and assume that you're a sicko or a pedophile, without bothering to judge the artistic merit. You'll be a target for repressed, small-minded people who don't bother to see past the nudity. I'd also recommend having a LOT of people from different backgrounds review the scripts before you start spending money on actual production. I hate to say that some things need to be diluted because of the ultra-conservatives in the US but they do. You should be able to make whatever movie you want to, as long as your nudes are of legal age, but unfortunately that is not the case. You're going to get sued, hung in the media, and probably get some death threats too, so have some independant eyes help you decide how to best get your point across while pissing the conservatives off as little as possible.

I personally doubt I would see a film like this, just because I am not really all that interested in the subject, but I respect your right to make a film about whatever you want. And I do know that kids experiment with sex a lot, probably WAY more than their parents want to admit.

In the US the child laws are very severe. You can't show any nudity for children under 18. Thailand may be different, you need to check there, but you're film won't be shown in the US. You might get away with partial nudity by doing flashbacks, but I doubt it. A better idea would be to write a book about it, but again, they need to be over 18.

Why would anyone want to expose this unacceptable activity, it may be for a film script but I can nearly guarantee that it wouldnt sell and who in their right minds would want to sit down and watch such a thing?? Anyway Im confident in saying that full frontal nudity of anyone under 18 is illegal, and rightly so.

My view on this is that, your original logic is WRONG and hence you now arrive at this conclusion.. apparently it seems OK.. but the fact is.. no one wants ot know about your hangups.. we all experience our own sexuality and choose not to divulge the details.. it is a taboo and some are best left as such.. I mean what next.. you want to make a movie about boys poking each other bottoms..

I think the problem is that society in which you live has flaws and you now find yourself feeling that a movie about boys playing is "normal" "warranted" and "necessaray" it none of the above!!

Soecity is not normal.. you probably grew up with issues and in an unhealthy environment and now feel this is an issue of great importance.. its not!! ITS SICK!!

I think you are a borderline paedophile.. who needs to rethink what is important in life.. no one wants ot want your sick flick.. unless they have issues like you.. in which case you should all be forced into mental institutions for some corrective surgery..

in any case where do you suppose you will find 8yo old boys to work with you on your "research"??

SICKO!!!

Your parents wasted their money on your education!!

I suspect that if you do much more than inquire about the rules for this film (and by much more I mean actually make the film or publish the screenplay) that you'll learn a whole new arena of meanings for the word perv.

no one will benefit from a film like this. everyone takes a big dump everyday too---why dont you make a film about that?or are we just trying to "hide" it because we dont all talk about it? does it need to be "exposed"? get a grip and make a film about something edifying and or entertaining.

don't we have enough slop out there?

By the way.....guys in the U.S. aren't perverted like that when they are young. They wait till they get older.
