Is it illegal?

I have a crush on my teacher. She's pretty young because she is a student teacher. If she turns out to have any intrest in me, I want to know if it is illegal to have sexual relations with her. I am a 15 year old female. She is over 18 by the way.

I found my answer and just have to wait until senior year.

Illinois law makes 18 the minimum age at which teachers and their students
may legally have sex. Age 17 does not apply to teachers or any other school
employee in a "position of authority" over the minor.

It is only illegal for her so you shouldnt jepordize her job, and her criminal record. Its good to have crushes though. When you get older a crush is basically a fantasy. Fun to think about, but usually kept to yourself or someone your in love with. Your to young to know what real love feels like, but the crush you feel isnt it....

In most state it is illegal to pursue a sexual relationship until you turn the point of reasoning, which is at least 18. The student teacher would stand the most to lose at such a relationship.

To have a crush is one thing, but to pursue it when you are not ready is another thing. So do yourself a favor, let it go and move on. Wait for a few years before you pursue a sexual relationship. You can always satisfy yourself alone, if you know what I mean.

Having a crush isn't illegal. If your teacher acted on it this would be illegal. You are a minor and she would be charged with sexual assault even if you consented. Even when you reach the age of consent a Teacher can not have a relationship with you - they'd loose their jobs as it would be unethical. Why don't you see if their is any gay and lesbian groups in our area (check out web sites and magazines for contacts) and see about meeting someone of your own age. A lot of people have crushes on teachers, and that's cool but you have to know it can't go any place

Yeah...there are legal issues involved...although personally htose age limits are ridiculous and wre outdated when the laws were passed. They need to simply reduce all the age restrictions on everything from 18 or 21 down to 13 and be done with it.


BTW..nothing is illegal if you don't get caught...

You knew the answer to that before you started typing...so you're really looking for someone to say "Go for it!" but you should also know that the best and worst decisions of our lives have to made alone.

First of course, you should understand that a relationship with her could do serious and permanent damage to her life when the story goes around...and it will, they always do.

You're surrounded by young women in your own age group who think they're all alone, too...just widen your search a bit.

It would be illegal in many places. Age of consent laws differ depending on where you are, but that she is your teacher means that she could easily lose her job at the very least either way.
