All depends what part of the country you live in? Down south will be low pay as reg county cops only get in the 20's to start. You want to make the most money in it go up north new york,boston etc. or try out west in california. if you have aol go to salary wizard and this will show you average salary. I use it and it's pretty accurate.

What an officer of his rank gets paid in the department that they both work for. No special benefits, in base pay.

around 50000 per year I guess plus benefits
