You grab a friend as a witness, then switch on your personal audio recorder and ask him to repeat what he just said to you. If he acts embarrassed and suitably ashamed, smile and ask him if you can get him a drink.
If he gets defensive and tries to blame you for coming on to him, smile and ask your friend if you should ask your boss for a raise in the New Year.
Alternatively, you could ask him how many children he has and if he would be interested in a long-term relationship with a strong possibility of marriage because you would want to do the decent and proper thing while both of you are sober.
On the other hand, you politely excuse yourself and go to the Office storeroom to get some superglue to put into ALL the locks of his car after you've let down at least two of the tyres. (But this only works if you've stolen his infrared key, that it's definitely his car, and no-one sees you in the act:))).

I am afraid I do not have enough information. I can see from your ID that you are a man (?) and that your boss is a man (he). What I do not know is whether you are also gay (if you are a man, then he must be gay to come-on to you) ! If you are and you fancy him and you are free then go for it..what can you lose? If you are straight, then you must be pretty sick to even think of it.
(big mortgage and HP or not).
A secure job depends upon one's business performance and not one's sexual performance. I would report him for even trying (sexual harassment)!

Would all those reasons give u the REASON to let him get fresh with you? Would that "one time" thing becomes a norm everyday? Do you really need this kind of job insecurity?? Don't give in and don't let him step all over you. It will happen over and over again the moment you let it happen the 1st time. Unless that's what you want...
